And I totally get it. When I first became a Scrum Master, I experienced frustration with myself, my team members, and stakeholders in the wider organization. I wanted to see faster improvement, more ownership, better collaboration, and about 100 other things. I thought I needed to learn as many agile practices, tools, and case studies as fast as possible to be a better Scrum Master.
I quickly discovered that coaching is what enables people to take ownership of their learning and growth, generate and integrate their insights more quickly, and move through discomfort and uncertainty with more ease.
As I began growing my personal leadership and coaching skills, I gained greater influence and took on more challenging roles. These skills continue to serve me.
I am a licensed Scrum.org Professional Scrum Trainer (PST), and I have taught over 1,300 students on 5 continents. I have been a Steward of the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Curriculum since 2016, helping to improve and evolve the course while maintaining the integrity of Ken Schwaber's vision.
I have over 15 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Coach, Project Manager, and Trainer. I have completed the 5-course Co-Active Coaching Training Program and am currently part of the Co-Active Leadership Program. I am also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
I am the co-author of the book Mastering Professional Scrum, recently published by Pearson Addison-Wesley as part of the Scrum.org's Professional Scrum Series.

You can apply what you learn in this course no matter your experience level. In fact, I wish I had invested in learning coaching skills much earlier in my career as a Scrum Master.
You obviously get the importance of servant leadership just by asking this question. Coaching skills can be utilized well beyond the Scrum Master role and even beyond Scrum. Throughout the course, I do use language associated with Scrum and examples related to the Scrum Master role, but I think you'll be able to easily see how these concepts can be applied in your own life.
That's great! How in-depth was the content? Did you get value out of it? Did you practice what you learned? Are you the type of person who learns through repetition and hearing things in differnet ways? Do you feel you need a refresh? Do you want to be able to access the materials multiple times and practice at your own pace? My advice is to let these questions gudie you. And of course, feel free to reach out via email - stephanie (at) agilesocks (dot) com - with any specific questions about the course.
You will have access to everything; however, you will move through the videos in sequential order. The video lessons all build upon each other, so following the sequence will help you better understand the concepts and skills. Of course, once you've gone through the entire course, you will be able to access any video if you're looking for a refresher on a specific topic.
It's completely up to you, since this is a self-guided course. Everyone is at different levels and has different learning styles, so I've designed the course to allow you the flexibility to work at your own pace and put in the amount of effort that will help you get what you want out of the course.
The video lessons are 3.5 hours of content. And the workbooks offer you a place to capture your insights from each video lesson, as well as the prompts to help you apply and integrate the learning.
I am the type of learner who would spend about 7-8 hours on the workbooks. If I were working full-time with a Scrum Team, I would likely space out the work across 4-6 weeks. If I had the time available, I might watch all of the videos at once then go back through more intentionally to re-watch and fill out the workbooks across 4-6 weeks. And of course, there is the practicing. But the good news about practicing is that can happen "on the job" or in other areas of your life. That's just an example based on my learning preferences.
Nope. This course is for people who do NOT want to invest in a 6+ month coach training program and are seeking an affordable otion to learn how to leverage coaching skills and apply them immediately on the job.
The content of this course is informed by my experience as a Scrum Master and Coach; a Scrum.org licensed Professional Scrum Trainer, as well as my participation in the Co-Active Coaching 5-Course Curriculum. And of course my curiosity and continuous learning about people :-)
I am the same when it comes to learning more complex skills that require intentional practice and improvement. That's why I created the Premium option for people like you and me. The Premium option includes 6 months access to a live monthly Q&A webinar with me (there wil be a recording if you cannot attend live). You will be able to ask questions, share your experience, and learn from others enrolled in the course.
